I think going for the pepperoni at L'Industrie was a mistake, it's good but it's not nearly their best meat-y slice. I always go for the spicy salami and then ask them to add burrata to it. That and the fig jam and bacon slice are a perfect match 🥰

The mini creme eggs (we get them in Canada at least) are just the right size, about as big as the tip joint of your index finger. I remember getting a full size one at Easter a couple times in my childhood and we had to chill it (to solidify the goo) and cut it in quarters to make it survivable.

I remember Hot Sam pretzel locations in the Midwest malls in the 60s-80s. Baked from frozen, but they were great covered in mustard. Sam himself wasn't that hot. I was in Germany in the early 90s and big pretzels from the street vendor were only 10 pfennigs. Great with a tall glass of beer.

Brit here. I remember years ago when my brother brought back Hershey's chocolate from a visit to NYC. In short, I was actually physically sick from the taste but moreover the vile smell (butyric acid). When US Mondelez/Kraft took over Cadbury's around 2010 I feared British chocolate would end up with the same rancid butter smell & taste.
